This organization is unique. Differences among organizations are due to many factors: the state or city; the type of community (urban, rural, large, small, northern, or southern); the nature of the programs offered; the age of the participants involved; the management culture; and the socio-economic level of everyone involved.
How To Volunteer
Step 1: The Willingness To Volunteer
It doesn’t matter if you want to give your time once, or 1 Million times. We are glad to have you. You never know what kind of impact you may have on someones life. Just call us or send us an email then we will guide you to the next step.
Step 2: Background Check
The purpose of this policy is to provide a secure and safe environment to all employees, students, and visitors. A background check is required for all WGS volunteers who have contact with youth. Volunteers may not commence until they have successfully completed a communal background check, except under special circumstances approved by Director of Operations or Executive Director.
Step 3: Matching Skill Set With Need
We know that everyone wants to help in some fashion at this point. By matching skill set with need, we will have maximization of time and performance with everyone involved.
